Apple may launch an iPhone with foldable display

Many innovations take place at the front of devices, while TCL conversations plan to introduce a smart phone that folds into a smart watch and in the Samsung Galaxy Fold, which has already been announced but is not yet available in the trade.

The buzz around folding smart phones is exciting, but the concept has failed to take off to a large extent. In fact, Royole FlexPai was launched recently and is considered the world’s first folding Android smartphone.

In a more recent development, the news infiltrates the giant Apple technology, possibly working on an iPhone with a folding screen.

A patent application filed by Apple reveals the design of this futuristic folding screen anticipated. The patent application entitled “Flexible Screen Devices”, filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), reveals an innovative design from Apple’s patent application. The folding iPhone has been on Apple’s radar for some time. The patent application refers to a practical device that is not merely a conceptual idea.

The sketch included in the app looks suspiciously like the future Motorola Razor 2019 device. The diagrams look like an outdoor folding design similar to the Royole FlexPai. Some of the diagrams also represent an inner screen. The patent application does not give a clear idea of the general concept. Some diagrams also suggest a double-fold design with two hinges, which looks like a shoe with three layers of the main body.

Referring to the patent drawings, LetsGoDigital has visualized the images of the iPhone concept in the works.

Other smartphone manufacturers are also preparing their own folding phone concepts, but they have not been as aggressive and ambitious as Apple. The technology company is among the first smartphone makers to have filed a patent for the design of the foldable smartphone. In the patent document, Apple writes: “It would be desirable to be able to use flexible screen technology to provide improved electronic devices.”

Companies like Xiaomi, Huawei are expected to launch their own folding smartphones in the future. Samsung has already alluded to the launch of a foldable smartphone with a 7-inch screen, which folds into a 4.6-inch device.
