Vivo will invest 4 billion rupees to establish a second plant in India

Vivo is preparing to install its second plant in India, to strengthen its commitment to convert its products into the world’s second largest mobile phone market. The company announced Thursday that it has acquired 169 acres of additional land in the Yamuna Highway area of ​​Uttar Pradesh, an estimated investment of 4 billion rupees over a four-year period.

The new land was acquired near Vivo’s existing 50-hectare production plant and will help the company “expand manufacturing capabilities and support continued growth in India”. The existing facility, which has an investment of 300 million rupees, already operates at a capacity of two million units per month and employs more than 5,000 people, according to Vivo. With its new facilities, the company plans to double current production capacity to 50 million units a year, and create more jobs.
